Assignment:
Today the students will take a 15 point quiz over chapters1-3 of The Outsiders.
The character chart covering chapters 1-3 is due today.
Assignments for next week:
Read up to chapter 8 by January 20th. Please read the whole book if you like;)
Journal #3--Timeline
Create a comic strip timeline that starts with Ponyboy waking up in the vacant lot and ends with Ponyboy and Johnny arriving at the church in Windrixville. Use the following guidelines:
-cannot be on lined paper
-needs to have at least 9 boxes
-each box should have a complete sentence caption underneath it
-include the estimated time the event takes place in the box
-each of the boxes should have a full color illustration (no stick people)
If you use more than one sheet of paper, please continue your timeline on the front of both papers so I can display them without cutting your boxes off because they are on the back of the paper.
Journal #4--Illustration of a scene
Illustrate a scene from the book (any scene from chapters 1-8, except when Bob is killed). Use color and illustrate it on plain paper (no lines please). Include a complete sentence caption on the back or front explaining your illustration.
Journal #3 and Journal #4 are due Monday, January 20th.
