"The Dinner Party"
Assignment:
Today we went over what plot was and the components that go with plot. We wrote this down in our notes. We also copied the plot diagram in the book and discussed this with the terms: conflict, exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.
"The Dinner Party" was read out loud in class.
A class discussion ensued where the students discussed the various parts of the story and where they went on the plot diagram.
Assignment:
The students need to copy the plot diagram in their notes and go back through the story "The Dinner Party". They need to write down the various parts of the story that fit into the categories conflict, exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.
There will be a review session over the poetry unit tomorrow. The poetry unit test will be during this week's block (Wed. and Thu).
Those students that will be gone due to ADAPT: make sure you download the notes tomorrow during AA. They will consist of all that will be covered during the review on Tuesday.
