Assignment:
Today we talked about the meaning of the poem "Silver" and reviewed the three sound devices, rhyme, repetition, and alliteration, from yesterday.

We read about the poet Shel Silverstien and read his poem "Forgotten Language".
We had small group discussions about what the students thought the poem meant .

Tomorrow the students will be writing their DC scholarship essays in class and what they would like to do while their classmates are gone to DC.
