Resources: The students were to bring in 5 advertisements today. Each advertisement was to appeal to one of the five senses. The students should have one for taste, touch, smell, sight, and hearing.
Assignment: Today the students who are interested in going to Washington DC and who know that they are going were given the guidelines for the Washington DC Schorlarship essay that will be written in language arts class this Friday. Those students that are not going to Washington DC will be writing an essay explaining what they think might be a good activity to include in our non-DC activities those two days the 8th grade is gone to DC. This will take place in class this Friday.
The rest of the classtime the students worked on creating imagery posters from their advertisements. They needed to glue some form of the ad onto a piece of construction paper and use imagery to describe that picture pertaining to a particular sense. They should have five sentences, five pictures, and at least five descriptions using imagery. DUE TUESDAY
