Assignment:
Today the students will bring in their sentences for the parts of speech that we have covered so far. This list is as follows: common nouns, proper nouns, linking verbs, action verbs, plural nouns, singular possessive nouns, plural possessive nouns, concrete nouns, abstract nouns, pronouns, antecedents, adjectives, and adverbs.
We will review all of these the first part of class using the student's examples and examples we think of in class.
The second part of class we will look at a song called "Particle Man" and pick out the parts of speech that we have studied from that song.
We will also begin writing short stories in groups that will eventually be turned into mad libs next week. These stories will be based off of the decriptions the students use to describe the action monster in the movie we watch during class.
Friday the students will have a review session for the test they will take next Monday and Tuesday during block.
